Re: Tech 2 security access
I'm amazed a little script hasn't been written to enable security access on Tech 2 / Tech 2 Win to date. Its a pain in the ass having Global Tis or Tis2000 installed with all the associated legacy sh!t to run it. ...Not to mention the security access button in TLC only exists if you buy a damn Tech2...

Re: Chrysler SKIM Reset
Just a thought, HP Tuners supports the Chrysler 200 (2011-2016), if you had a HPT interface, could you have a listen to the coms to help with the seed/key?
(Sorry, I'm probably not much help on this but it was a very interesting read )

Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming

Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming
I suspected as much. GM emphatically do not want you to be able to fit second hand control modules to Global A / B vehicles. All well and good in countries with a GM presence - getting parts in Australia currently is a shitshow, eg: No stock of new E39 12651994 and no ETA on more stock as of a few w...

Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming
Interesting, I meant to reply to this sooner but havn't had a chance to do my little test yet. SPS1 - 2013 Cruze. Replacement ECU 2nd hand still programmed to whatever wreck it was removed from. My procedure was SPS - Enter VIN of car the ECM was removed from, Prepare control module for removal - fo...

Re: VE V6 ECU LINKER
Interesting. Back in dealership land we just reset them and were generally speaking good to go. Hmm.

Re: VE V6 ECU LINKER
I'm talking pre Global A here. I've never had one that once its been reset show up as being married again.
I regularly looked up security codes for S/H ecu's and reset them on the bench prior to going onsite to link them back to peoples cars.

Re: VE V6 ECU LINKER
Once they're reset (both E77 and E39) they're reset. They do still have the original code written until a relink to immo is done.
SPS doesn't care if its linked or not (generally speaking)
My experience anyway

Re: GM You done f*cked UP with programming
After cracking the sh!ts for the better part of a month with the helpdesk, I fired off a big email to them and got sps1 access for the month of October. Out of interest, I tried TLC on a 2012 VE 6L Calais Wagon I was fitting a replacement IQ unit to. Programmed it perfectly, also did updates on ECU,...
