sounds to me like a wiring fault... the DFI operates independently of the ECU during cranking.... you can unplug the computer and still get spark. check the ECU has power at B1 and C16, and the pink ignition wire (I forget which terminal). also check the 4 wires which run from the ECU to the DFI......
