so would it matter at all if i wired a VT roller cam into VS ute with standard VS V8 loom without knock sensor?

yes vt roller cam 5L into vs ute, the ute was originally V6, i have V8k-frame tailshaft and a vs S2 stato engine harness and the vt harness
