Not sure on the level of cloning, i don;t think you;ll get the serial number cloned, so a relink will be needed.
i can do them in Brisbane.

Quick google search shows people using flex fuel on a E40 its all there on every file I have opened
flex fuel pin is pin 4 on the bottom connector on the E40.

why not try that first

as the E40 is a 24x crank trigger, and the E38 is a 58x its not going to work very easily almost not possible without pulling the motor apart and replacing wheels ect
