Re: Dedicated Baro sensor for '808

VX L67 The baro drops numerous times in the log. It spikes downward from 100 to 60 or 80. It is rich on closed throttle, particularly when Idling because when it is not, it does not have a stable idle. Rich on deceleration I will sort out after everything else. Zero steps at Idle, the idle screw and...

Re: Dedicated Baro sensor for '808

Thanks Vlad.
I'll check the wiring again. Hopefully that is the problem and it's easy to fix.

Re: Dedicated Baro sensor for '808

I installed the second MAP signal to B12 and patched the ground and 5Volt reference wires into those from the original MAP sensor. My two MAPs do take different initial readings, which will require some re-tuning of VE to recalibrate, which doesn't bother me. Main MAP initial reading is around 104.3...

Re: Dedicated Baro sensor for '808

Thanks. I saw those two details but was hoping to know whether to use the same 5V reference and sensor earths as the first MAP. Can you see a problem with tapping into the MAP/TPS reference line and sharing existing earths? I want to do this because my car really suffers from MAP readings when drivi...

Dedicated Baro sensor for '808

Hi, I'd like to use a second MAP sensor for the purpose of barometric update on my '808. I can see that OSE V112 lists the capability for this but I would like more information on how to wire it in and set up the function in Tuner Pro. My hadrware: 808 Ecu + NVRAM + USB Comms board. Thanks in advanc...

Thanks for clearing that up.
It's nice to know that I worked that out correctly.

Re: Toyota 18R-G (808, NVRAM, USB)

What is the full name for the "max MAP for idle" that you refer to? The steady state cruising with the map below idle figure was probably driving down a hill with slight throttle to maintain speed. IAC - Idle MAP threshold Vs Idle RPM? Does DE occur below the value in this table? Is that w...

Re: Toyota 18R-G (808, NVRAM, USB)

Thanks for the file. The ADX i've been using is OSE_$12PV112_1BAR-Petrol.adx There are some differences that I am not familliar with the function or values for. I'd like to learn more about them. a. Manifold Fuel Param - AE delta fuel threshold, original value 2, compare value 5. The BLM Param scale...

Re: Toyota 18R-G (808, NVRAM, USB)

The MAP sensor tested well. 5v at the MAP and the TPS. Earths are good. I connected the MAP to a vacuum gauge with a t-junction while checking the TP monitors. The MAP reads 3kPa high at 100kPa and about 4kPa high at 40kPa. I'm happy with that as the vacuum gauge is cheap and that would probably fal...
