Re: 6L80e (6 speed VE auto) behind 304?
Has anyone fitted a 6L80E to a VN/VS? Will they fit in the tunnel without any cutting?

Re: 4L60E
The pwm is there to alter the apply pressure of the lockup converter. You can’t fit a pwm pump to the early non pwm transmission. There is not enough difference internally to say definitely use this one or that one. Any slight internal changes would or should get changed when its built for the task...

Re: Wiring for VT Ecotec Engine Power
The Auto gearbox that I have doesn't have a Neutral/Safety switch, and there doesn't look to be enough shaft protruding from the case to fit one. It's a 4L60E box, with a 7HDD sticker, and 18 cast into the case, supposedly removed from a VS Commodore. Did all 4L60E boxes have a Safety/Neutral switc...

Re: 4L60E
Personally I would just rebuild the VR one and be done with it. My mate tried a similar thing in his VY, that is to use one from another model and there were more differences that he didn't know about and ended up giving up and rebuilding the one he had than trying to adapt the VT one he got. Is th...

Re: 4L60E
So if I use a VS Harness and tune i can use the 98 or 02? If i use the 94 i just use the vr tune and harness? There is endless options for the 4l60E now, theres even the 2.86 gear swap.

Re: 4L60E
I have 3 4l60E cores a 94 4l60E a 98 4L60E and a 02 4L60E to build. The 02 has the much stronger looking belhousing so was thinking thats the one to upgrade. I will be putting it behind a 396 holden so the converter will be a custom built so the hardware will be upgraded i was more looking at the 42...

4L60E
Hi Guys
Is it a simple swap to pull a 94 4l60E out of a 424 94 VR ss and replace with a rebuilt 02 4L60E trans? Or the 424 wont run the 02 4L60e?
