Re: VP Chip Identification.

Thanks for that.
I've read the chip, saved the BIN, then opened it in TunerPro using one of the .XDF files , and it's given me Scalars, Flags and Tables , but I cannot locate the VATS
parameter.
Which section should I be looking in.

VP Chip Identification.

I've got a TL866 Mini Programmer that I intend to use to remove VATS etc. from a VP Memcal.
The problem I've got is that I can't identify which chip to select out of the 13000+ options.
Can anybody tell me which one it is.

Re: Wiring for VT Ecotec Engine Power

I want to alter the Fan Settings in my VT Auto, VATS Disabled MemCal.
I've installed TunerProRT, bought a Generic Programmer and made an adapter to mount the MemCal on the Programmer.

How do I go about reading and altering the MemCal...Do I alter it in-situ, or download it, change it etc?

Re: Wiring for VT Ecotec Engine Power

Thanks for that. How do I tell which Code Version I have? Forget that question, I've read your details. How does this work...Is your code embedded in the Factory Code, or linked externally. Is it bolt-on or a complete Bin replacement. What version do I have to be running to start with, or isn't that...

Re: Wiring for VT Ecotec Engine Power

I'm trying to adapt the Speedo Output from a VT ECU to the Barina EPAS I've fitted to a Triumph TR7. The VT outputs approx 6250 ppk, where the Barina EPAS requires approx. 16000. If I use the 6250 ppk, the EPAS will stay in the maximum assistance map. I've got a timer adaption, but it really needs a...

Re: Wiring for VT Ecotec Engine Power

I'm trying to get the Reversing Lights working. There's a pin on Plug 3 (Gray Plug) in the Engine Loom Connections. Brown/Blue wire, that's described as REVERSE LIGHT + 12V. Does this pin supply 12v to switch the Reversing Lights, or does it work some other way. I've been testing it, and can't get 1...

Re: Wiring for VT Ecotec Engine Power

Thanks for all the answers...much clearer now. Is it possible to run the CEL without the BCM. A friend has an L67 in a TR7 track car, and he has it working, but he didn't do the wiring so doesn't know the details. I've got a spare memcal, so I'll practice on that before changing the one I'm running ...

Re: Wiring for VT Ecotec Engine Power

Got the engine running OK. The only issue I have so far is that the cooling fan starts approx 5-10 seconds after the engine starts and runs continuously, even though everything is cold. I've tried disconnecting the coolant temp sensor in case it was permanently grounding, but it made no change. I'm ...
