Re: Logger improvements
Yep. I want it for the misfire detection. What I thought was a rough cam turned out to be a flaky ignition harness, which I confirmed by using a temperature gun on the exhaust headers. I thought I had it fixed, but now I'm not sure.

Re: Logger improvements
I've run into the issue with switching apps too, since I've been alternating between logging and flashing a lot lately. I've been wanting to move the logging stuff into the PCM Hammer app for a long time, and now I feel like that really needs to happen. I still need to think through what that would ...

Re: Logger improvements
Wait... what needs to happen in between the PID changing from 40 to 80?
Does the user need to hold high RPM, or can they lift off the gas pedal when the PID changes to 40?

Re: Logger improvements
That looks pretty simple, thanks! I'll try it this weekend.

Re: Logger improvements
Coincidentally, I need crank relearn for my car right now, so I'm very motivated to implement that right now... The main thing I need is a list of the steps that the user needs to go through, and the messages the app needs to send (and listen for?) at each step. If you have those, or even just some ...

Logger improvements
I have been doing a bunch of data logging in my Corvette lately, so that's gotten me motivated to improve the logger. These changes aren't available in a release yet, but they are in a pull request at GitHub: https://github.com/LegacyNsfw/PcmHacks/pull/342 There are a couple of UI changes that I thi...

Re: "flat response" knock sensors
Thanks! I'll give those a look. So far, all I know for sure is that the wiring harness that I used isn't going to work. It grounds one lead from the sensor and runs the other lead to the PCM. However I'm pretty certain that both leads from each sensor need to go to dual inputs on the PCM (four PCM p...

"Permission to upload kernel was denied."
During the flash process, we: * unlock the PCM * switch to 4x * request permission to upload the kernel That last step used to fail for me very rarely, and power cycling almost fixed it (sometimes I might have to power cycle it a couple times, but that was rare). Today it's been happening more often...

Oh no. I might not come out ahead on this one.

Re: Mother of all 7603 XDF files
Thanks for the info about the checksum stuff. Universal patcher sounded easier though, so I went with that. I set the new time to 1 second, out of concern that setting it zero might lead to an off-by-one error somewhere - it probably won't, but I'm paranoid. Today I tested it in the car, and it work...
