Re: OBDX Development - Developer Tools and Suggestions

I'm trying to understand the use of the Scantool Firmware Updater.

When I have my OBDX FT connected, I receive this message within the firmware updater.

Does this indicate that there is no update available or that the FT is not supported within this utility or something else?

There wasn’t any reports of problems on FRDS previously, but If the same problem was affecting, it would have also been fixed. I see the 32bit installer on the do...

Re: OBDX Development - Developer Tools and Suggestions

Since reverse engineering each Ford PWM seed/key algo will be roughly 7days per unlock level, theres potentially up to 21days worth of unlocking to complete. This is more time then I am willing to commit the bench setup to, since there are other tasks to complete including CAN FD support. If IDS wa...

Re: OBDX Development - Developer Tools and Suggestions

I tinkered around with the PWM AU ECUs quite a bit today. Neither seemed to want to play nicely with IDS for flashing. It requests to ignition off, then it applies FEPs, then asks to ignition on (All simple tasks). I have confirmed 18v goes to pin13 on the AU falcon ECU as per the wiring diagrams. ...

Re: OBDX Development - Developer Tools and Suggestions

I have various J2534 compatible software that I'm happy to trial this on for you. The more software the better. Since I know for a fact that some softwares will interact differently hence why some tools work and others don't. It tends to be filters/masks being set incorrectly which causes the main ...
