Re: 12P disassembly

Quickly revisited the spark cut on a 808, I dont have any of the code from way back when initially testing this so not sure what was tested/tried and how only that it wasnt ideal. Setting dwell to 0 causes the chip controlling spark to briefly interrupt spark but then maybe goes to a sort of limp mo...

Re: BLM cell boundaries 12P

The cell boundaries are hard coded in 12P. They were moved out of the cal segment and in to the code segment. This was done due to items containing direct memory address' that will change with every code release. Having it in the cal segment added another step to migrate cals to new versions for an ...

Re: 12P disassembly

Antus alerted me to this thread, also have not seen this issue before so would like to check what is happening. Have you got a log showing the inconsistent fueling at that load point? It's been a really long time, but from memory when I tried to get spark cut working on the '808/'165 I found that ch...

Re: shift points

You need to modify the kickdown settings, these are used at (or near) WOT. There is a KPH and RPM threshold, both have to be met for it to shift.

Re: AE delta manifold fuel

No difference for v1.11 and v1.12 for changing CTS voltage to manfuel.
RAM = 0x0153
ALDL address = 0x1BB8

Change location 0x1BB8 from 0x0084 to 0x0153.

Re: LSx Coil Driver

A 6 cyl will have 6 spark events per cycle, not being able to overlap when dwell starts is what cuts the dwell time down to (240/6) - 600us = 39.4ms The V6 DIS essentially operates like a single coil dizzy, it just divides the cycle in to 6 parts and electronically distributes spark. I guess you cou...

Re: Switch from code 59 to 12P

You would need to use the peak and hold function, link pin D3 and D9 for this. I dont know if it works for multiple injectors though, it was designed for a single TBI setup.

High impedance injectors are cheap and common now days though.

Re: LSx Coil Driver

500RPM = 8.3 rev/sec = 120ms per rev Max dwell for various 6 cyl setups... Sequential with overlap = 240ms - 600us = 239.4ms Wasted with overlap = 120 - 600us = 119.4ms V6 DIS (wasted with no overlap) = (120/3) - 600us = 39.4ms Overlap refers to a setup that can start charging the next coil before t...

Re: OSE12Pro A/F Maps

ESC = Electronic Spark Control = Knock Sensor.
EST = Electronic Spark Timing = ECU controlled spark advance.

Its always been this way in GM land, and 12P and 11P use the terms/standards above as defined by GM in the 80s.
