Sounds like they didn't get their dealer installed tunes an EO exemption number for CARB. So when a HD dealer changed pipes, removed cats, or added a high flow air cleaner and then installed a Harley "Stage 1" or "Stage 2" download the tune wasn't certified.

FYI
Because of the way the I2C chip (24C04) is wired to the PCB you have to set the read address to A5 for those BCMs

holden 308 I know its possible to run the ls1 pcm ive seen it done but I mainly want to run it as I have all the software and gear to tune the ls1 pcms, the lt1 ecu in the states only uses the crank as a misfire detection and the engine will still run fine without a crank signal onit but I cant fin...

Odd wouldn't the correct seed key algo be needed to unlock the E38 to ensure that the correct bootloader/ bin were uploaded into the ecu FWIW I calculated A802 as the key for an E38 0000 seed

I was also unable to get it to work with my 841 but it worked fine with my 852. (haven't tried the old 838 yet) I can get the 841 to connect to the AVT term using the keyspan adapter. Hopefully it is a baud rates issue but didn't get a chance to play with it. Here is what I tested with my 852 122004...
