1970 LS Swap El Camino
Hello, Here's my 70 El Camino with an LM7 motor and 4L60E transmission out of a wrecked 150,000 mile 1999 GMC Sierra. All Holley A-Body engine swap parts, mounts, headers, oil pan, etc. American Auto Wire complete wiring harness. She's running pretty good these days and I get 38-40 degree F air out ...

Re: PCM Hammer fails on P12
And so much potting compound sprinkled around the board - it can only mean that this board runs hot in all of those places. They must be buying the stuff in railroad tank car amounts.

Hello,
I like the ability to test BIN checksums. Overall, looks good on several different Windows computers.

PCM Logger - Log Parameters???
Hello,
I'd like to start experimenting with PCM Logger but I don't know enough on how to add logging parameters. Does anybody have a loadable prebuilt parameter file that I can use to get started, please? Does such a thing exist in an editable, add-able form?
Many thanks,
Rick

Re: Can any P01 take any P01 OS?
I have a small collection of maybe 6-7 of these P01 PCM devices variously loaded with the 2088 and 2156 and 8322 operating systems. And most of these devices and OS's have been in my El Camino at least once and ran well. I can't say these were exhaustive tests on my engine and trans but it appeared ...

Re: Can any P01 take any P01 OS?
Yes, I have done what you suggest and I have done those OS's to both an 0896 and a 0411 PCM. Maybe I got lucky and I have never bricked a PCM but overall, this was easy.
And even if you brick one, there are recovery possibilities.

Re: How to make 01 5.7l vortec 0411 pcm to run 5.7 ls1
Hello, I'm not one of those brilliant people though I dabble here a little. There is a strong caution against directly changing the engine type and size in Tuner Pro - I'm guessing it would cause a fatal checksum error, a PCM-brickable offense maybe. Try to find a variant of the 2156 OS that had you...
