Re: PCM Hammer Release 012

I'm perfectly willing to do this, provided I can figure out how. My familiarity with terminal programs is kinda seldom and minimal. I downloaded PuTTY but don't know how to set it up. I downloaded cmdr and same problem. I know not much is required, it just takes the right steps. I use a terminal pr...

Re: GM E38 E67 Kernel/Bootloader Development Extravaganza

Sorry for these multiple posts.. lol.. Just read a bin, modified it and wrote it back wireless no problem.. Quick question though.. Is there any kind of check on the ecu to see if it wrote ok? like a checksum of the flash in the ecu against a checksum of the file that was sent?? Does your kernel su...

Re: GM E38 E67 Kernel/Bootloader Development Extravaganza

Clone for both E38 and E67 now takes place from C000 to end of file. Everything prior to C000 is all boot code which is the same on all ECUs. This has obviously cut down 0xC000 of data to write so full clone is a tad faster  Nice!!! this might mean it's slightly safer too since your not er...

Re: GM E38 E67 Kernel/Bootloader Development Extravaganza

Surely you would never go wireless when programming. I've been programming GM vehicles for years with the GM MDI and GM sps programming software.. It's definitely not a requirement, especially for something as niche as this, but it is very nice to be able to drive up into the workbay, plug in the M...

Re: GM E38 E67 Kernel/Bootloader Development Extravaganza

What are your thoughts on trying this in a vehicle and not just bench testing?? Not in a rush by any means, but I might be temped to install one of my bench cloned E38's into my truck just to watch it go, lol.. Any thoughts on wireless with the MDI?? Have you tried it at all?? Maybe I'll start with ...

Re: Segment Swap utility

This is looking great, sorry I got sidetracked a little and have missed a lot of updates to this tool.. Quick question after a quick look at it.. It appears you have done some work on the layout of the XML files.. Say I want to do the same thing across the board with a couple different OS's, someth...

Re: GM E38 E67 Kernel/Bootloader Development Extravaganza

Works for my bench unit at work!!! Can't wait to get home and try the problematic one.. Nice!! Love how it came up with the save file name for me, excellent.. Looks like the ecu is in recovery but it had 1000 for a seed?? Weird how Tazzi's program comes up with the 0x1000 for seed and gmsps says it'...
