Re: Trying to monitor the data bus with an ELM327
For me, in terminal mode there was Raw mode or Line mode and they both ended up functioning the same.. Raw sends each key as you type it but nothing happens until you press enter and it sends the return. Line mode doesn't send anything until you press enter.. The elm didn't seem to care, I got the ...

Re: Trying to monitor the data bus with an ELM327
in plain mode you type on the bottom left of the screen, should see what your typing and then it sends everything when you hit return, that is when you should see send and receive led's flicker, not for every key as you type it. Well this is interesting! I didn't notice any place in the bottom left...

Re: Trying to monitor the data bus with an ELM327
I'm not at the shop anymore, but yes.. When I was using plain mode I could type atrv and get back voltage, 0105 for coolant temp, 0902 for vin, etc and it spit back the correct response.. When I had hex selected I had to type in hex equivalent of of ascii, like 39 32 for 0902.. in plain mode you typ...

Re: Trying to monitor the data bus with an ELM327
I just downloaded and tried coolterm and it works fine with the first elm327 I grabbed, a bluetooth 38,400 baud unit claiming ELM 327 v1.5. Default settings used other than changing the com port and baud rate. EDITED!!!! Hold everything.. with coolterm... Click on the view button on the upper right,...

Re: T43 TCM programming Issues
That looks like it's responding the same as the one I was working on.. I suspect you could bring it back to life if you tried programming the correct OS and calibrations to match the boot and eeprom just like the E38 ecm's. Do you have anything to read the flash? You could probably find the vin and ...

Re: T43 TCM programming Issues
Just went thru this with an independent garage that put a used transmission into a 2016 Acadia. They had some remote flashing company come to them and they bricked it, making it even worse. This was disclosed to me AFTER I drove there and starting looking at it and told them this was not a simple re...

Re: PowerPCM_Flasher: my tool for E38 and E67
NP, It's ECU.BruteForcer.0.0.8.7z that you posed a while back. I'll reach out to some friends and see if anyone has a gm mdi I can test with. ok, I had forgotten I posted an .exe here.. you'll need to install a .net for the brute force to work.. I do not think you need it for the powerpcm program t...

Re: PowerPCM_Flasher: my tool for E38 and E67
sorry.. I meant the brute force tool.. Power PCM works for me with the gm mdi but I do know a lot of other devices do not work with it. Developer was great for putting it here, guessing he did what he needed with it and has not been here in quite awhile and I don't think there will be any compatibil...

Re: PowerPCM_Flasher: my tool for E38 and E67
Honestly not sure why your getting the error, usually I think that's because the .net library isn't installed. Did you build and compile it yourself off github? or did you get the .exe somewhere else? Did you build it on one computer and run it on another? If so build using the release version and u...
