Re: Engine won't start with ALDL cable connected

I'm a tad confused. Are you just saying when the cable only no laptop is connected to the port it won't start or is the laptop running TunerPro at the time? The cable on it own should make no dfference unless there is an issue with it. Just physically having the cable connected to the ALDL port reg...

Re: Engine won't start with ALDL cable connected

Id be checking the wiring in the port. The data part sounds like its working but it sounds like something else is wired wrongly maybe in the extension. Usually signal ground and data ground right next to each other are wired together in the interface so maybe one of those pins is wired somewhere el...

Engine won't start with ALDL cable connected

Hi Guys, Been meaning to ask this one for a while but I keep forgetting. I've got my ALDL port relocated into my glovebox for ease of data logging during drag runs. I can keep my windows tablet in the glovebox with TunerPro logging and not have cables everywhere which becomes a hazard if I need to g...

Best way to connect to VN/VP 808

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone might be able to provide some advice on what the best options are these days for connecting TunerPro to a VN/VP 808 ECU. I've always worked on VR/S 424' models so I've used the standard USB > ALDL OBD style cables however I've never had to connect to a VN/VP with th...

Re: Where does the inst fuel readout come from?

Thanks all, I found it was a loose connection on the pin A10 for the fuel input to the ECU, working again now, can see inst fuel readouts.

It definately shows inst fuel consumption on idle with the engine running and then starts working out average fuel when driving.

Where does the inst fuel readout come from?

Hi Gurus! Hope everyone is doing well. I've got a quick wiring question for a VR with a 424 PCM. I've just done a full wiring relocation/extension and new relay/fuse box on a VR (both body harness and engine harness) for an engine bay smoothing job. Everything is working ok except my inst fuel reado...

Re: VE commodore calibration update

Hi All, I know this is bumping a really old thread, but I was wondering if anyone has the equipment and software license in SA to perform this update on a 2011 VE SV6 (the daily work hack) for me, happy to compensate you for your time in $$ or drinks of your choice. With the closure of most of the H...

Re: IAC flaring on EFI Hardware Throttle Body

Just for reference if anyone else has similar issues. The Maximum MAP load limit and Idle Map Threshold tables seemed to fix it, it was set to around 40kpa and my engine was idling as I was playing with it at around 75kpa so no wonder it was struggling. Seems a lot more stable now. Thanks everyone :)
