Re: New to PCM hammer and some questions
I just remembered that you should be able to open your saved .bin file in EFILive too. You might be able to compare that to the downloaded stock file (to confirm it is stock.....probably is but doesn't hurt to check). Feel free to PM me or post here if you need any help copying the info over to the ...

Re: New to PCM hammer and some questions
Yeah, I believe you would want to do "Write OS, Calibration and Boot" for this particular instance. You don't want to change your serial number or VIN or anything like that.

Re: New to PCM hammer and some questions
The small folder icon below "view" and "calibration" on the top bar. But since they are different OS, it will now allow you to use the compare feature. So you would have to manually inspect the tune tables/values. Yeah, it's a little cumbersome, but there's really no other way to...

Re: Data logger for P01 and P59
Racechrono Pro, track day app. I just prefer the interface most for testing. For torque use Auto for OBD header and don't include the 01 at the end of the PID. I have fuel temp saved but haven't messed with equation yet. I noticed it was a 2 byte param, but I also notice that in EFI Live it's only a...

Re: Keeping misfire diagnostics enabled with MAF failed
I'm not exactly sure what you mean. My car still physically has a MAF (I use the IAT). I set the high frequency fail limit to some really low value so it 'fails' right away and reverts to VE only. I don't have the MAF DTCs disabled because it needs to see the MAF fault in order to revert to VE. I ca...

Re: New to PCM hammer and some questions
Yeah, development has really been focused around a single OS for the 512K P01s- 12212156. It's an OS that supports all possible hardware combinations etc., so it was logical to go after it first. It was also used in 2001-2002ish vettes, so you can definitely make it work. This is what I would probab...

Here is the equation for EQR.
[2 byte data] / 1024.
14.7 / EQR if you want it in gas scale.
Here's an example during engine warmup

Re: Keeping misfire diagnostics enabled with MAF failed
Well I played around with all 32 bits or "indexed fault groups" and in all cases misfire detection was still disabled with the MAF failed.
So looks like I am back to square one and currently out of ideas. May revisit it later if I come across anything.

Re: Data logger for P01 and P59
Good work! I'll test it out in a bit.
Yeah the PID list is kinda hidden: https://github.com/joukoy/UniversalPatcher
It's part of the XML_v3.2.zip file.
I converted into a simple spreadsheet to make viewing easier for me--attached.
It looks like the whole FC series is still unexplored.

Re: Data logger for P01 and P59
119E is commanded AFR, but it's not a useful on a flex fuel vehicle because it is modified by the current fuel stoich value. So EQ ratio is much more convenient in general I find. Perhaps FC12 is lambda/EQ? I haven't looked at the code/logic itself, but with EFI live you have the ability to log cyli...
