I have Spark with ACDelco E84 ecm. I need modify some byte in calib segment (like name of segment) but i don’t know how to calculate a segment checksum.

Way late to the party but I just started looking at BCMs.. this might help out someone.. load the file into a hex editor, highlight everything but the first 2 bytes(08 D8) and then get your checksums for the selection.. Find the sum of the Big-Endian 16-bit values and get the last 2 bytes.. (f728) ...

There is a bunch of text in the middle of the file that does not look like calibration data to me, possible write up some code that does the 16 bit checksum and if it's wrong then it steps another byte and tries again.. It'd take a little while but doable.. What I don't know is if that's the whole ...
