Re: IAC mechanical limitations??

You wont damage anything going more steps, but I wouldn't be surprised if it runs out of travel mechanically. You need to bypass more air so you require less steps. Can you adjust the TPS at all? Eg move throttle stop further open, and adjust TPS so it's around 0.5v when closed. I loosened the TPS,...

It doesn't have a bleed. But I could add one to the emissions vac hose maybe.

Yeah, but is 196 as far as it goes before mechanically max open? If I digitally add more steps to max limit will it be trying to go further and hurt the IAC internally?

IAC mechanical limitations??

VR 355, '424, 11p I notice in the tune the maximum motor position for IAC is set at 196. Is there a reason for this number for a mechanical reason for IAC movement (bottoming out etc). High comp, big cam, come ttb mani, and I think I'm going to need more than 196steps to get the target idle rpm with...

Re: Reading material

A couple of other good books. I've got that 4l60e book. It's a bit tricky to follow sometimes, and I found it glossed over a skipped a few minor details which help with a novice. But it gave me confidence and reference to tackle some work on my transmission. David Vizards how to port cylinder heads...

At a quick guess - no where near the thousand delcowiz is suggesting.

And it wouldn't be a laughing gas matter if your line ruptured

Just fired it up again, wideband gauge is reading, and data log is populating.
Headlights aren't on, so lighting circuit shouldn't be active.
Seems very odd, but hey, I'm getting data in the log so :?

Re: Innovate mtx-l data no longer in log

I think the MTX-L gives a start up sequence when keying on, so if you are logging when power comes in to the car you should see two flat lines of 2 static voltages for a moment before it starts returning real data. if you dont see that the device is dead or there is a wiring problem. Interesting. I...

Charlescrown wrote: Mon Jun 23, 2025 1:08 pm I gather your using TunerPro. I got the 7.3 when logging with the input to the ECU disconnected from the Innovate unit. It was fixed for the entire log so I figure it's a fixed value in TunerPro.
Yes I am using tunerpro.
Yeah, as shown above 0v output is perceived as 7.35:1 AFR.
(5v is 22.9:1 AFR)
