Re: help Tuning VT LS1

Heh yeah, there is a LOT of calibration tables in the newer PCM's. From memory (its been a fair while since I touched one) the EFI Live custom OS uses the map sensor and air temp correction to calculate an estimated airflow value in g/sec, and the ecu then uses this for the ignition table. You don't...

Re: help Tuning VT LS1

I second that, Efi Live is excellent. Jump on holdencrazy.com as GM Tech said, download a few of the later VX-VY HSV tunes, these will give you an idea on where to go as far as ignition timing and fuel is concerned. You will need to flash in a later Efi Live custom OS, VX-VY based OS's will flash in...

Re: Tuning Troubles With moates Ostrich 2.0

When I had my VS V8 Auto, I had the exact problem and it was whenever I "AA" the checksum and ID. I could only ever bypass checksum on a VN/VP Dave. On a lot of the XDF's I have seen, the program ID is set incorrectly. Output type in the general properties should be hex digits, most are s...

Re: New To TunerPro RT

Interesting.. I just skimmed over the specs 10 mins ago and didnt see the magic 27c010, but now I re-read it I see it does say "from 4k (2732A) up to 512k (4mbit 29F040) and everything in between" so that would be 512kbyte not 512kbit! I wonder if anyone on this side of the world has noti...

Re: New to Tuner Pro, need $51 xdf for VS V6?

Pretty sure there is a basic non-supercharged $51 XDF getting around, I think delcowizzid has it. If he doesn't see this thread then I'll poke him with a stick next time his on MSN

Re: Computer connectors

Cool find

Don't know about anyone else, but looking at those old 30 pin SIMMS, 8 bit ISA slots and socket 1 boards brings back a lot of bad memories :(

Re: Electronics Australia DELCO articles

I wonder if it is a special transitor designed to be used as an ignitor. They are designed for the high-voltage flyback from a coil and can handle switching big amps. I'm guessing something like the Bosch BIP373 might be able to be used as a replacement for the V8 transistor. They don't have a publi...

Wow, looks like $12P is coming alone nicely

I haven't had a chance to get that turbo/manual conversion done due to work so it looks like you might be finished before I am
