I suspect this is a miss wording, not a misunderstanding ... It's anything over Zero = No VATS, i.e. 1.

Ohh yeah, My apologies. I guess my head wasn't thinking straight lol makes sense.

Re: XDF for 12613246 OS

Basically anything over 2 will work too, since the code works that way. Some boolean checks. The pwm is phased out on 1mb since there is no more platform usage for it. F-bodies used PWM and maybe some others too but they got dumped in 2002. Cool Cool, thanks for the explanation! So anything over 1=...

Re: XDF for 12613246 OS

To clear the mistery vats settings. On 512kb there is 0 = Serial Vats 1 = PWM Vats 2 = No Vats On 1mb there is 0 = Serial Vats 1 = No Vats On some of the next release of universal patcher it should be fixed for 512kb. Current setup only treats 1mb pcms with 0 = Serial Vats 1 = No Vats I also suspec...

Re: XDF for 12613246 OS

I'm not real hip on the boot process, however I suspect there are some parameters that are not intended to be changed once written and are only read during a full power up after a total power shutdown. Hard boot as I call it ... i.e. when the battery is disconnected for a short period of time then ...

Re: XDF for 12613246 OS

My apologies for the late response, I was doing this for a buddy and still haven't gotten the service number so I'll let you know when or if I get it from him. I kept the value at 2 and my buddy states that after disconnecting his battery and connecting it back it now fires up. Unsure what happened...

Re: XDF for 12613246 OS

In-Tech, That response reads like I possibly offended you ... If I did, I am wrong for I did not mean to do so! My apologies! Yes, that damn tule fog is very deadly for sure, especially in the delta region ... Been there done that driving with the door open looking down at the line and cannot see i...

Re: XDF for 12613246 OS

No prob ... PcmHammer will read it from the Pcm with any operation that Uploads the Kernel, like Verify or Test Write, it was a planned tool for the Tool menu but the Tool menu got filled up with the Operations. As for the Service Number, it's a field in my database I like to fill ... Maybe a waste...

Re: XDF for 12613246 OS

Ohh alright, I'll try 1 and let you know how that goes. Please do. Also a quick question if you don't mind. The original pcm quit working and shutoff and is now indicating "reduced engine power" however I'm wanting to copy that flash over to my new pcm, would that work? I guess what I'm a...

Re: XDF for 12613246 OS

Thank you for the bin. 0,1,2 ... Depends on the OS, not all are the same. I do suspect 1=none in this os. BTW, Thank you for the education on the UP technique, never tried that ... YET! Gawd there is so much to explore in that little jewel. The build thread for UP is long, but it is an interesting ...
