Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

Pink should be 12V. Maybe you used the continuity on your meter while it had power? I know some meters will shower power as a short. What cam has it got? original stock or an aftermarket one? Definitely a short to ground on the pink wire. Was definitely set to resistance. Also no power as the senso...

Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

I've had 2 engines with a miss that was low compression. One was a 5L that had burnt out a valve and bent a few pushrods. Another was a 4L Ford that the rear piston wore into the bore sideway somehow and there was something like a 5-6mm clearance on the right side of the bore with the left side of ...

Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

Using my phone with small characters so forgive me if I double with info. I think from memory your ecu can do a power balance test which will identify the offending cylinder. From my experience and what you say it's a definite miss most likely mechanical. Ive been trying to find some form of power ...

Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

Im still doing my head about this, I noticed the wires on the injectors were split and frayed so i reterminated them with new plugs. Didnt fix the issue. I also checked the timing was set up fine. I earthed the O2 sensor and heater circuit to the back of the head (only the drivers side to see if it ...

Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

Yep the one on the water outlet is the ground for the drivers oxy. all tested out fine.
i thought id try and test the grounds on my injector plugs, couldnt get a reading.
just want to confirm if my thoughts are correct, 1 wire is an earth and the other is signal?

Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

In the thread I linked there is a PDF that shows a picture for the earth below the DFI module. its got a pic of a buick i think. surely im not going crazy. the only wiring i have goes from the cam sensor, to the CAS. then down under to the knock sensor. i cant find anything down there resembling an...

Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

It's probably worth having a look at this. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=5444&hilit=VS+O2+sensor There are more earth points under the DFI module which apparently include the earth point for one of the sensors. The link also has a picture of the patch loom I had on the ...

Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

Have you done a compression test? just checked her out, seems fine to me. engine was pretty much cold. Also thread on my gauge was the wrong size and only goes in a couple threads. probably why theres such variation 1- 135 137.5 137.5 3-145 150 152.5 137.5 140 5-137.5 137.5 137.5 2 132.5 134 134 4-...

Re: VS L67 running rich on drivers bank

Have you used a VS wiring loom? The fault is in the loom with a shared earth for both the heater circuit and sensor circuit. Simply changing the sensor doesn't fix the issue. If you are happy to sacrifice a O2 sensor you can cut the earth wire for the heater circuit (effectively turning it into a 2...
