Hi All,
My VT V6 Calais has a very heavy power steering especially at low speeds. I believe it has the variatronic system. Should I be looking at the pump or the solenoid? Any tips appreciated.
Thanks

Re: BA XR6T - No start issue
Just a follow up, the problem has been resolved. It turned out to be a broken wire in the harness that went to the PCM.

Is it a genuine DS1245Y? The fakes can cause issues.

Re: BA XR6T - No start issue

BA XR6T - No start issue

Re: Vx l67 flash
Just a note on fuel pump. With a top swap the stock ecotec fuel pump needs to be upgraded, it can't flow enough LPH. Many would swap to a Walbro 255 LPH pump.

Re: Vx l67 flash
If you want the L67 tune to run you need to change PCM to memcal based. These have service number ending 396.
Ideally a top swap requires a re-tune, but this should be a good starting point.

I'm pretty sure the rear casting is different.immortality wrote:Can't you just rotate the rear section 90° on the ecotec alternator?
