Can't find a large ID concentric slave, do they even exist?

Hi all, I am trying to locate a concentric slave with an ID of 40ish or more mm, maybe like 45mm ideally but I have come up empty handed after looking into this a few times over the last year or so. My nephew's 4Runner has been off duty for mostly 3 years now due to crap quality conversion from Mark...

Re: VR Ute

I saw years ago there where like these models that gave BT and other functionality to old classic radios. I am sure there are much more feature packed modules you'd be able to get now days. But you need to know the basics of the radio schematics or be able to figure it out to solder in the in and ou...

Re: Gampy's time

Sounds like agony

I suppose all you can do is occupy your mind until you can't.

Re: VR Ute

Thanks for that! Yes, VP has only 3 studs on the tower, but I was looking at the driver side since mine is a 6 and there is no room on the pass side for anything on the tower because of the intake pipe and AC stuff. It will only be for a catch can or two depending on blow by requirements on the engi...

Re: VR Ute

Very awesome build! Been waiting for someone to do a good one at this level for a while, hasn't been many restro-mod builds since covid. Do you have any more pics of the catch can bracket and how it looks installed on the tower? I was thinking along the same path for my VP to run dual catch cans pot...

Re: Ecotec V6 Dry sump

After looking at them, I want one lol. As good as an ecotec sump conversion to a Buick works, it never sat well with me the way it looks out of place. These baffled ones really do look like a good bit of gear and was always on my mind if that engine build I always wanted to do ever eventuates, the s...

Re: Ecotec V6 Dry sump

Was interested to see if there are any high capacity v6 sumps anywhere and I found this mob.

Not only do they mod v6 sumps to have scrapers and baffles, more oil etc... In the gallery I found a dry sump for ecotec

Re: Ecotec V6 Dry sump

Interesting! I vaguely recall LS mentioned to have poor oil return but never took it seriously as it's suppose to be a enthusiast minded platform from the get go, so seem to be like a silly oversight. The Holden v8 is bad with top end return, and I had a look at some heads and I see the issues peopl...

Re: Ecotec V6 Dry sump

Windage control for sure is an issue on that engine in the video, but also makes me wonder if there is so much oil in that engine, where does it all accumulate for the sump to empty? top end? I've heard some people with later commodores have this oil pressure loss on braking but I personally never s...

Re: Ecotec V6 Dry sump

Those are for the US FWD ecotecs, they actually have the sump part in the middle, somewhat to the rear of the engine unlike ours with it right up front. So the tray might not clear the limited space at the rear of our sumps and there is the whole pickup tube location situation too. Might be handy fo...
