Re: VE SS S1 V8 - 4cylinder Mode
Got myself a VE SS S1 ute  Its the new pride an joy! I think my favorite feature on it is that it drops to 4cylinders while cruising and the economy beats my old VY V6, and even gets close to the Hyundai i30 thats here. Iv heard alot of bad remarks about this "4cyl" mode, that it...

Re: ALDL ECU's
well the os/calibration on the ecu doesn't seem to make any difference with any bcm, but if you use a vt-vx pim with a vy dash you get errors for stuff that isn't even plugged in on the bcm. put a vy pim in and the problem disappears. im basically using the bcm's as an interface to the dash clusters...

Re: ALDL ECU's
slightly off topic, but does anyone know if it's possible to reprogram a vt-vx pim to a vy? I have a bunch of vx ones but I need them to talk to vy dashes.
part numbers are different but I would think the underlying eeprom is the only thing that changes?

Re: Software On ELM Street - OBD2 Software Development
Im happy to test anything. I also have a cruze with the e83 ecu which has similar pids to the e38. if you can also work out how to do the brake pedal calibration on the bcm's that would be great. haha As for the Bluetooth mx I think it is the sleep mode kicking it. it would be good for a few hours a...

Re: Software On ELM Street - OBD2 Software Development
cracked another locked e38 ecu thanks to your program tazzi. it's about the 3rd active automotive one I have done now. even the hpt tuner lock doesn't prevent me from seeing the shit they have in the tunes before I wipe them and put them back to standard. I found that if I use my Bluetooth obdlink m...

Re: ELM327 Software Development
have you found a way to do a bcm to pim relearn/reset? I think I have an issue with my drag car throwing up codes on the dash because the security doesn't match. bcm is a low level vy, pim is from a vt/vx. As I don't run vat's on the ecu I can start the car anyway. but I get shit on the dash that sh...

Re: ELM327 Software Development
can you add the capability to log to a text file for the seed key finder? mainly so if the computer reboots etc, you can find the last key and continue on.

Re: ELM327 Software Development
Hmmm.... not sure why it freezes up? I think its because of the way bluetooth works.. its "slower" as Iv found with testing. The "auto detect" runs through each comport really quickly to identify if it is valid. It also runs through all main baud rates.. which might be why it fr...
