This is the torque converter clutch slipping, basically the converter/auto is on it's way out.
My brother's ute was doing this on his 2nd auto, so we just added slip additive and then turned off the code in the tune and hoped for the best.
Still going today but the ute has def seen better days.

Re: ose_$11p
I haven't spoken to him in years, last time 2016 or something when I was in Perth and offered to visit, but it never eventuated as him and his misses were busy that week with something else when I was there. That was around the time he was becoming far less active in general and hard to get a hold o...

Re: Ecotec V6 Dry sump
I believe this is the reason they broke cranks and blew up constantly early in the series. They then switched from stock to a Scat billet/forged (not sure which) crank and that "fixed" the problem. They are pretty reliable considering the rpm and the limited suspension travel that causes t...

Re: Ecotec V6 Dry sump
Looks very similar to the factory PS pump. I was speaking to Clarko up in QLD about maybe making a kit for the VN-VR to take one of these motor sport type PS pumps as he's done with the ecos. It's getting so hard to find good pumps for them now and no internal parts to rebuilt them any more. I think...

Re: Vlad's rides thread
Any for the Buick? I really want to find the one I mentioned but can't recall what it was called. It was Buick/pre-eco stuff only and in Aus, not American, not that that means much as in America the L27 and LN3 are almost not recognized as ever having existed and 95% of the development for them was ...

Re: Vlad's rides thread
I searched, as expected I came up empty handed. I saw a Buick builds for aus kinda group come up as a suggestion once few months ago and it looked like some genuine smart people in there but it never came up again, didn't come up in the search. I checked them all and they were those yobo type groups...

Re: Vlad's rides thread
I wasn't aware of such groups. FB is a cluster f**k of a platform, I find most business FB pages and groups via google search instead as FB's own search engine doesn't lead anywhere. Perfect example is a computer repair business in my town have their site as a FB page and came up 1st on google with ...

Re: Vlad's rides thread
100%, then you can fit any good direct mount fuel reg and position it any way you want and it's more compact either way as ORB screws all the way down.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
Stumbled across these on ebay. Very nice!, only criticism is the use of tapered thread instead of ORB, which makes a lot harder to get the right fitting and need for excessive adapters. I also hate the idea of thread sealant with fuel. If I had it my way, I would add one extra port in the top middle...
