Re: P04 Disassembly
Fine, it's the 2nd end model part number. But when I say that, a lot of people don't know what I'm talking about.

Re: P04 Disassembly
Pretty cool. This was the 2nd of 2 operating systems for this. I'd have thought it would be a whole different hardware family on account of the coil arrangement.

Re: 2000 Sonoma BCM Configuration
TIS2k coverage ended in 2007-2008ish? It was right around that time they started transitioning to TIS2Web. They kind of started gradually cutting different cars off as model years ended or were redesigned. It also won't necessarily have the latest and greatest for a previously covered car. I was pok...

Re: 2000 Sonoma BCM Configuration
Just track down an old copy of TIS2000. You can install it on a Windows XP virtual machine and then program your BCM as often as you like. I pulled out the service info for your truck and the BCM pinout specifies Class2 for diagnostics. That's J1850 VPW, 10,400 bps. UART is specified on pin 9 of the...

Re: help with pcm hammer
6.0 trucks were RPO M32 which is a 4L65E. Some of the older ones (2001 ish) called it a 4L60E-HD, but that's just an early name for 4L65E. RPO M30 is 4L60E. If my notes are right, the only real differences between the two are a 5 pinion rear planetary on the 65, and a couple of hardened internal par...

Re: E92 PCM Reverse Engineering
You guys might already know this, but I wanted to share something I ran into this weekend. I screwed up one of the checksums on a calibration I was playing with on my 2017 E92A. Programming failed and the ECM stayed in the bootloader like it was supposed to. But the GM tools wouldn't reprogram it be...

Re: E92 PCM Reverse Engineering
I looked back over my notes and it may have just been CVN I had to fix. Skip shift variables are outside the checksum range. If you look into the code for P0601 DTC you'll find checksum references though. I'll try to post some better info soon. Been dealing with some serious real life stuff recently.

Re: E92 PCM Reverse Engineering
I had to do the additional checksums when I updated my E92a (2017 Corvette).

Re: Colorado / H3 BCM hacking
I don't remember getting an actual disassembly for the F16 chip. If I remember correctly, it was just dumb luck that I found that in the raw binary file. I wonder how difficult it would be to retrofit the newer BCM to the older truck? The connectors are the same. I haven't looked to see if the pinou...
