Re: VZ ecu doesnt communicate to tech2
Probably worth asking - do you have the CANDI module connected?

Re: Cylinder Volume - used for SD calculations?
From the LS1 PCM onwards, VE had the cyl displacement factored in. The actual number in the table is not % however HPT and EFILive give an option for it to be back calculated into VE for display. They use the displacement stored in the cal to calculate it.

Re: Replace e55 with e39 pcm possible?
LE0 is a port injection engine, the E39 is for SIDI so its unlikley it will work.
I have run an LE0 on a E67, its a fair bit of wiring however.

Re: Got me an Aem x series wideband
nah I mean in the logger, I hardly use the actual display. Maybe for incar trimming but typically I use the playback in TunerPro. I noticed in other widebands there is some lag from commanded to measured AFR however with the AEM its less than one frame typically.

I’ve used them a few times, super fast response. The display can be a bit hard to read in the sunlight though

Re: Soldering iron and retro hardware
That cable up there is good old laplink. I remember the parallel port linked 4 pins that could send to 4 that could receive so you could push half a byte at a time and gain more speed linking 2 devices than you could over the serial options of the day. When 10base-T co-ax network gear was expensive...

Re: GM E38 Kernel/Bootloader Reverse Engineering Extravaganz
I believe making it work with J-tools will be best, already have that stuff nailed down so its just a matter of actually sending a kernel and the rest should be fairly straight forward. Anyone with a J tool and E38, will be needing some other to give it a whirl! Im yet to see a E38 with different f...

Re: The1's Daily
Hey ejukated how do you compensate for the variation in E85? From my research it varies fro E50 to E85 giving some concern with tuning without flex fuel ability. To be honest I don't see much variation. I pretty much exclusively fill up at my local United. Today I actually fired up my E85 L67 after...

Re: GM E38 Kernel/Bootloader Reverse Engineering Extravaganz
I think the factory reflash procedure is somehow already onboard because its pretty hard to brick an E38, not like a P01 where the bootloader is sent to RAM so if you drop power you loose comms.
