Re: VX v6 wagon code 49
Hi there, thanks for the reply. I've asked him how the car is going tonight. After checking fuses he had found a few loose-ish ones, and pushed them home firm. He'd taken it for a couple of drives this evening, and it seems to be going good. Tomorrow if he's home ill go plug in, and check the system...

VX v6 wagon code 49
Hi there A mate of a mates wagon has been playing up for around a year. Caught up with him a few nights ago, plugged in with tunerpro and aldl, got code 49. So I suggested replacing the crank angle sensor. We replaced it today. Also we cleaned the cam sensor. While we were at it, checked the dfi loo...

Re: Testing MAP sensor with vac gauge - due to rough idle
I'll post up my log later on, I logged on the drive into work today. I saw the oxygen sensor in double digit yellow and 3 figures in blue and red. But I didn't see the calculated VE change, if it should?

Re: Testing MAP sensor with vac gauge - due to rough idle
I could swap back to the factory memcal, and see if that makes a difference. But from memory, I don't think it will.
How would I go about checking the VE ?
Cheers
Edit: my last tank of fuel I got about 570 to 580kms highway and city

Re: Testing MAP sensor with vac gauge - due to rough idle
Kaiapoi NZ, on Google it says we are 6 meters above sea level. Could I still be chasing a bad intake manifold gasket? I do have one here to replace. Could it be a Crack in the exhaust manifold that's playing a part? Having a sniff at the exhaust end, it smells a bit rich. Today I also swapped over t...

Re: Testing MAP sensor with vac gauge - due to rough idle
I have taken a few logs of sensor data, I'll have to post those from the laptop though. It has new plugs, leads, and have checked for good spark with spark tester, all strong looking spark. It also has a new oxygen sensor. What else can cause it to run rich? Today I sprayed Carby cleaner around the ...

Re: Testing MAP sensor with vac gauge - due to rough idle
Hi there ,all that commented, I'm loving the input  Looks like I have a better way to test the sensor. I did also start a vacuum thread, in saying this I will get around to doing the can of spray trick around the intake to check for a possible leak? While doing this, listening for a smooth ...
