Re: Help reset 0411
Sorry for the long delay in posting the answer. I hate when people do that. I was able to successfully unbrick the pcms. I used a hot air gun to remove the flash chip from the PCM, used a TL886a programmer off ebay with the appropriate chip adapters, and flashed a fresh 512 OS onto the chip. This wo...

Re: VY BCM Problem
Just curious, should the indicators work without the BCM?
Does the BCM need to have security FOB or whatever to function, or only to enable ignition?

Re: TECH2 Logging
Thanks mate. That's a relief going into the last stages of this wiring. Now my only concern is whether the rumours are true about the BCM and the triggers for things like door locks and lights being voltage/current sensing and whether it'll cause issues with old 80's motors and solenoids. But we'll ...

Re: TECH2 Logging
What about the linking of the PIM to the BCM?
It won't communicate without linking?

Re: TECH2 Logging
Yeah, not worried about car sdtarting, i cna bypass that easy enough, but i just need the PIM for the gauges. Will the PIM still function/control the gauges even if its disabled the start relay?

Re: TECH2 Logging
Hey Tazzi, old thread but I'm about to try and link all my gear together and have trying to find how to do it. I have a PIM from one vehicle, a 0411 PCM from another and a BCM with matching key from a V6 VY commodore. I'm 99% sure the PIM wasn't reset before removal, and the PCM is a COS3 MAFless tu...

Re: ls1 flash chip looking to buy
I'm in Brisbane, but I've already ordered the flash programmer, and looked at a few youtube videos on how to remove it, it seems a lot easier than I thought it would be using a heat gun and a solder paste, so I should be ok. I've also got a 3rd PCM on its way to me, this one has a MAFless tune so I ...

Re: ls1 flash chip looking to buy
I've got 2 VX commodore LS1 PCMs that are both bricked. One had the 12211074 (?) OS and the other had a OS starting with 9, can't quite remember now. I'm relatively happy with the 074 OS that was on the original, but I did an OS flash to change to another BIN I was sent to try and start my car. The ...
