Re: Torana SS
Previously the wiring was P clipped to the underside of the fuel rails with some M5 cap screws. As you might imagine they weren't very easy to access. Machined a small pocket around the holes. https://img.v8comp.co.nz/Torana/20231014_123614.jpg And used them to locate a stainless bracket. These will...

Re: Torana SS
I have one of those in the feed side rail
Perhaps with the electronic pressure sensor I'll be able to tell whether it achieves much?

Re: Torana SS
Thanks guys, nothing particularly exciting today I'm afraid. As far as I know the old fuel pressure reg was working, but it is 30 years old so would be a shame to put together a new EFI system and have problems with it later. I like the Radium engineering pieces, quite pricey but then when you compa...

Re: Torana SS
To get the throttle pedal in the right position the original bracket needed to be removed, a bit of careful die grinding in a tight space removed the welds and have put that aside. The new pedal requires a new bracket as it needs to be positioned straddling the upper firewall and the inner wheel wel...

Re: Torana SS
Made a bracket for the filter and painted the modified bird bath. https://img.v8comp.co.nz/Torana/20230924_170038.jpg Made up some little brass crush tubes to suit these reinforced rubber rocker cover gaskets. Hopefully these are the right length to allow properly tightening the bolts with just a li...

Re: Torana SS
The next piece of the puzzle is actually connecting it to the throttle body, and I wanted a reasonable transition. Trying to get better with the aluminium casting, 3D printed a basic part with some extra for machining. https://img.v8comp.co.nz/Torana/20230917_092324.jpg So far so good. https://img.v...

Re: Torana SS
Made up a new piece so it will effectively become a drop base to provide space for everything. https://img.v8comp.co.nz/Torana/20230909_111837.jpg Well, almost. https://img.v8comp.co.nz/Torana/20230910_132533.jpg Mounted so that the filter element and seal edge are in the same position as before. ht...

Re: Torana SS
I have three little boxes of the same size that need mounting in the same spot. 3D printed some spacers so I can stack them up. https://img.v8comp.co.nz/Torana/20230826_112214.jpg https://img.v8comp.co.nz/Torana/20230826_112657.jpg Also finally decided it was time to start cutting wiring to length a...
