Re: Arduino BCM Emulator

Since ALDL is single wire you will need a way to convert the TX and RX pins into a single wire. There's a couple of example circuits in my for sale post and if you search old topics you will find them as well. Your code needs to account for or work with the "echo" that you will probably re...

Re: Arduino BCM Emulator

Hey mate,

See the link below, I sell a module that will do exactly this.

If you want to do it yourself with an Arduino and have any questions let me know. There's all the information you need already on these forums if you dig deep enough.

Cheers

Re: VT Data Bus Logging

It's a single bit in the 11th byte of data (after message ID and data length bytes). Someone already put together a nice PDF, see here https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6811&p=101184#p101184 There's actually 2 bits, "Low Speed Fan" is just to request it on and off ...

Re: VT Data Bus Logging

Can anyone share what needs to be injected into the bus to trigger the low speed cooling fan via the bcm? On VR/VS there is a specific request data frame sent from pcm to bcm, followed by an acknowledgement from bcm to pcm. On VT onwards the request is part of the data that is broadcast by the PCM ...

Re: Guessing plugs on loom

I'm not sure what the injector type plug is but would love to know if you ever work it out.
It wasn't in any of the looms I've done or I would of added it to the diagram.

XML data to CSV

Hey guys, I've collected some data logs from a scan tool (snapon). They are saved in a ".pids" format which can be used with the snapon software (Shopstream scanner data viewer). However I would like to export that data to .csv format so I can work with it in excel. I've found after openin...

Re: Help needed! converting 202 to delco

The distributer is only distributing the spark from the coil to the correct cylinder (hence the name distributer). The ignition timing is controlled by when the coil primary is switched off (and the magnetic field in the coil breaks down, "inducing" the high voltage into the secondary). In...

Looking to get a BA PCM programmed

Hey guys, We've got a patrol at work with a barra conversion that needs the PCM programmed. It's an auto PCM and needs to be changed to a manual (using the patrol transmission), needs the VID block edited to set the speed source, disable some DTC's and disable PATS etc. I asked the boss to buy PCMte...

Re: FS: VR - VY BCM Simulator

This modules had a bit of a V2.0 overhaul. It's now all SMD components more suited to the application. And the PCB being assembled professionally in china makes quality better and more consistent and my job easier. It's also now configurable for different applications, based on use cases I found fro...
