Vs commodore wont connect to tunerpro

Post by VSEXEC »

Hi guys, not sure if this is in the right section but I can't get my vs commodore to connect to tunerpro. I get the message saying my cable is found and functional and then load the adx, and turn on ignition. But when i click connect it just shows the display as da: connecting and stays that way. I have tried echo on and off and its still displaying the same. I tested the cable in my vx thinking the cable was bad but it connected straight away. Any ideas of what could resolve this issue? Thanks

You havnt told us what hardware your using, or what ADX but if it works on another car, i'd say the issue is the wrong or a bad ADX.

Please describe your set up as best you can. We need all the details to help. Aldl interface? What type, where from? Stock computer? Stock software? nvram? etc...

ADX is software ;)

Which way are you connecting physically to the car to communicate with it?

Another possability is a problem with the car. Maybe wiring not connected to the ALDL port under the dash, or damaged, or badly tarnished connectors. Sometimes this can also happen due to poor condition electrics / noise suppression caps elsewhere in the car so it has a 'noisy' electrical circuit, although if that was the case you would probably be able to connect with the engine off but ignition on.

Its running stock software, stock computer, not sure on the cable its one a bought a while ago of ebay. How do i tell what aldl interface i am using? Tryong toconnect with ignition on as car is not in a state to run yet due to turbo setup. The wiring for the aldl port seems fine as i used the paerclip to bridge the pins to read error codes and that works

What cable off ebay? What seller?
That's your interface, the cable.
If its some dogey cable then there's not much they can do to help
you should be asking whoever supplied it not here.
If you want an interface that will work then buy the one they have
in the for sale section ,they work really well and are affordable.
You also need the correct ADX file too otherwise it wont work.

The cable was bought a few years ago so I can not ask the seller. I was able to connect when i tried it last a while ago.. And it can't be a dodgy cable as i said it conected to my vx berlina. And the adx i got of this site for a VS

Have you tried connecting with OSE Flash Tool?
Just to prove it's working if so then would be a tuner pro or adx problem.
