Hi all,
I have completed ECM modifications (305 with usb board + NVRAM installed in VN V8)
plugged it in and started car to prove it works.. car starts and dies straight away... i figured this was okay.
plug in usb cable and the blue led on usb comm board comes on, but am unable to connect using flashtool or tunerpro.
i have the tunerpro plugin installed (and i believe configured ok?)
using toshiba laptop, win7, - installed the suggested USB-serial drivers okay.
suggestions on where to start?
Thanks, Adam.

Does windows show the virtual com port ok?
Can it connect using the flashtool? Under preferences select USB '808 (will have the same settings even though its a 305) and choose the com port.
Does the blue led on the nvram stay on for approx 2 seconds after turning off the ignition? It should start and run as by default vats is off in the blcf bin, will need to change the vss ppk setting when you do get tunerpro connected.

it wont connect with the flashtool either..
windows shows virtual com port okay in device manager.. in settings the speed is set to 9600 (there is no 8092?) but in advanced it shows as being 4096 each way (8092 total?).
on ignition on, blue LED on nvram board lights up and stays on until approx 2-3 secs after ignition is turned off.

Sounds like NVRAM is working OK and the ecu is not in limp mode. The serial settings are OK, they get set by tp or flashtool.
Just confirm the two wires for the comms board are in the right spot and are making a good connection through the conformal coating.

From your pms when we have been trying to solve your issue I think it might be a different cause. I have sent Admj1 a pm last night with what I think is the cause on the 305 ecm, hopefully he will get a chance to test it.
