Wiring temporary Wideband O2 sensor
Hi All,
As the tittle says, I'm putting a wideband O2 sensor in the missus VS but it's not going to be a permanent installation, would it be OK to wire it into the ciggy lighter socket?
Plan to wire the analog input into pin B12 and using The1 ADX to log wideband input using Innovative LC1
Thanks

Re: Wiring temporary Wideband O2 sensor
a lot of people do it that way and it seems to work fine.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Wiring temporary Wideband O2 sensor
Going to have a look at doing this, this weekend. Just need to get a momentary push button switch and LED, any recommendations on where to run the cable into the cabin?
Re: Wiring temporary Wideband O2 sensor
Usually try to sneak it through the shifter hole, a few cable ties underneath to tuck things out of the way

in commodores for temp installation I normally punch out the rubber bung in the passenger foot well and poke it through there then under the carpet to under the glove box area.

Thanks guys,
I'll have a look and see which is the easiest. Coming into the wet season here so the shifter hole may be more likely as I don't really want any more water getting into the car.

can always get a second bung and cut a slit in it enough for the wires

Re: Wiring temporary Wideband O2 sensor
Ok,
Wired in through a bung in the floor, shifter was going to much hassle. I've siliconed the cable in to make sure its sealed from the weather. Not sure if i'm entirely happy with the installation but it should get me going. Time to test and go do some driving and run a log and see what it truly going on
