Hi and welcome to the forums wildwagon1. To get realtime on the 808 you need some hardware and software.

Some details on the version 2 NVRAM hardware can be found here... https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=32 . You also need a way to communicate with the 808, there will be some new communication boards available shortly that can do that so look out for it.

You also need some software for the ECM and also the PC. Antus has developed AntusProm (https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=30) to interface TunerPro to the ECM and to make changes in realtime. The ECM software will be released shortly that will allow writing via ALDL.

There are commercial programs such as Kalmaker but if your after a freeware solution it will be all available from here :)
