even a stock vn one works with an amp and headphones mate.off to pick a part seems lots of cars had one similar to my new one. You want a bandpass filter centred on 5kHz - apparently that's where the knock signal is strongest and most distinctive. heres a schematic i just found too :afro:

That diagram is that the board used on the Memcals? Also where on the Memcal does the filter board connect to? Is it possible to fabricate a custom board for a memcal?
Just trying to reduce the amount of boxes i have in the car.

Cheers

that circuit is for connecting knock sensors to a megasquirt ecu.for reliabilty and ease it would be best to find a 4 cylinder filter from the US might need to join one of the sunbird sites in the US and see if anyone will sell you one.

Thanx all.
At least i got another 5 months with my dad after they gave him 1 month in November.
Cancer sucks and the week before a neighbour found my beautiful cat "brocky" dead under their carport :sad2:
Yeah Delco, i will be back tuning the munro as i used to drive it on the weekends but couldn't this year due to visiting my dad at the hospital all the time.

Holden202 i forgot to get a price for the knock sensor today but i did find a used one for ya.
Send us an email with your address and i'll send it to you next time i'm at the post office.
