There is something wrong with the thumbnail, why do they have carbs and its about E85?

Because they ran it on an engine with a carb on top, what is wrong with that? E85 isn't only the domain of EFI.

Its not exactly good for it long term given carbs are fully exposed to atmosphere.

EFI is the only thing that has a complete enclosed system, necessary for long term fuel stability with any alcohol fuels.
