I love some of the videos these guys do. They have a normal channel where they crush stuff in a 250? ton press and film it in high speed and the results are nothing short of amazing.

This the 2nd channel where other non press experiments are done.

This is honestly one of the best high speed videos I ever seen. The music along with it is epic.

a nice one here too haha.

Mythbusters did some great high speed camera explosions. Some of the underwater ones really were quiet incredible with the detail.

Yes, old VN/VP type, these were quite limited in reality due to average at best "one fits all" tune, stock 60mm TB with no manifold mods allowed and a rather weird un-optimized flat tappet cam with not a lot of lift but overly excessive duration, the cam was designed in the late 80s and left unchanged.

They produced by the time head refinement was down pat at good but not best 340hp @ around 6800 rpm and peak torque just under 5.5k of 400Nm.

With a custom large TB and elbow, ultra high compression ratio on E85, optimized theoretically smaller cam and some manifold porting for good measure I figured a result of 390Hp @ 6500 and peak torque @4.5K of about 480Nm
What sort of cam specs were you thinking?

Slightly smaller but ended up with much more aggressive ramp and for the lower end gains being rather small it doesn't seem like a good trade off.

besides who would complain with the stock FH cam, high comp, custom 80mm TB and E85 ?

I don't know about you but that seems like an awfully fat torque curve for a such a massive duration.
