This is the 2nd time I know of an engine that has let go after sitting and holding the 2step. If you watch the other video then it does become obvious that the engine was terminal but they just didn't know it. Probably better it happened in the garage rather than staging on the lane.
Isn't that just a spark cut type limiter? Can't see how that would break an engine if thats the case. They are suppose to be much more gentle on the engine than fuel cut.

On a turbo motor it build boost pressure on the intake as well as back pressure in the exhaust. The other one I know off was a turbo 383. He held it on the 2 step for ages and it blew out the head gaskets. He's a member on here, he was using the 2 step unit from VL400 on a delco.
A 2 step on a turbo motor normally puts you in a fuel/ign map area you rarely or never get to under normal conditions - ie have not tuned. Gotta be careful.
