Re: Little workshop of horrors
i saw something similar, someone drained the sump then got into it with the mig to fix some leaks (conversion) it then ignited the fuel in the left over oil and boom, apparently blew all the valley gaskets out, so pretty lucky compared to above!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Little workshop of horrors
wow thats probably going to be an easy enough fix! has it damaged the crank too much ?
i have changed that crank trigger before through the wiring hole, under the car on the concrete, it looks so much easier to access with the gearbox off hahaha!

Re: Little workshop of horrors
The crank cleaned up fine believe it or not, its back on the road now as a loan car for my workshop.
I do feel a little bit sorry for the old couple that owned this but at the end of the day, they took it to the wrong workshop....

Take care because if he entrusted to you it is because he has confidence in you.antus wrote:I hope you dont mind me posting in this thread, but ive got this one story and its not really worth its own. A mates car "Its too hard.... 15psi with no intercooler will be fine - i'll install a big radiator to keep it cool". He hasnt opened the heads on the previous engine yet to see whats inside but he has pulled the plugs.
"found out why the old engine hit a wall at 4000rpm" "but the car with the new engine feels like theres no boost - can you see anything sus in these logs?" (im also a bit sus of the low TPS readings rachat de credit info, but ive not seen the car yet) "I found the problem...."
