I was expecting a lot better to be honest.

like 1650hp is fuck all for a turbo 9L quad cam V8.

People making more HP out of barra and RB engines.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Big difference between and engine that sits at full power for 10 seconds and one that can be at full power for extended periods of time. Your 1600hp barra/RB engine won't get anywhere close to the same service life running at similar power levels period.

yes I get that, but this thread implies we are talking about outright power.

Anyway if reliability is also a consideration than I'd rather an NRE package.

That looks like a nice bit of kit to me. Interesting note about the exhaust being set up so the turbos stay spooled at idle, though im not sure if thats bending the truth a little... perhaps.
