Re: 24 hour Lemons
nope, but could just buy them? Not sure how that goes for the rules? could argue its needed to make them safe and prevent loss of performance from glazing/cooking the pads which they certainly do in my experience with non slotted rotors, they work ok initially but not for long.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Re: 24 hour Lemons
I put the VN/VP V8 calipers/rotors on my old VH with decent pads. I went from been able to stop once (a real high speed hard stop) to been able to stop about 2.5 times before running out of brakes
I've had total brake failure once on a different car when no matter how hard you pushed on that pedal it just wasn't going stop. Bloody scary. You could also duct air to the brakes, should be a cheap enough mod.

Good idea, I plan to toss the front shields for better cooling, ducts would help some more.

The Team that won it this year were people that I know in a Renault Clio.
Funnily enough here is the interview I filmed of the Team Leader and the car done by my .. err .. Assistant:
