Re: Arduino or RPi?
Does anyone on the forum here have a 3D printer and interested in making a case for the screen? Happy to pay materials etc and i believe there are plans online for them?

Great choice on hardware, will be able to do everything you are wanting to do and more. If you add ALDL hardware to your setup you can control things like the fans via the PCM using ALDL mode 4 (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2460) and not need a SSR any driver hardware, can also log and record data later if you want to get right in to it.
Am using a 3.5" Nextion on my logger V3, just as a display for now but it works well for this type of thing.

Re: Arduino or RPi?
Ill take it one step at a time haha. Looks like a good way to run the fans etc without using additional relays etc.
Absolute NOOB to all this so it will take me some time.

Re: Arduino or RPi?
i added a third screen to my corner weight scales project so i could test a gauge in the nextion .... this is at 9600 baud serial, and just using a pot to change the readings, as you can see if you go too fast it gets a bit jumpy, would certainly be ok for most gauges and speedo etc if you wanted to.
