There is far more to North Queensland than just beautiful beaches and perfect weather, why not consider a road trip inland.
Here you will find kilometers of sophisticated roadways and scenery that never seems to change. Our dedication to motoring safety is second to none with bridges only capable of supporting bicycles, narrow roads shared with kenworth cattle trucks and advanced signage to ensure your safe trip home. Not only do we “not” tell you where you are but we also withhold information on where to go and how to get there……
Feeling drousy after driving for hours enjoying our wonderful part of the country, well, we have the solution. Our roughly surfaced sealed roads end abruptly, usually without warning, propelling you into loose gravel at a ridiculously high speed. The moment taken to regain control should get the heart pumping and regain the family’s attention.
Our dedicated team of disinterested but well paid government staffers only select the best historical sites for the eco conscious family. Why not visit one of the many historic sites, see your tax dollar at work (technically speaking, seasonally adjusted) and let the kids explore…
On your drive through this glorious region, we thoughtfully leave potholes that form in the road after the wet season. These ensure every wheel on the car sees a little action and if you are lucky enough, some more mature potholes are deep and wide enough to ensure that even the transmission and diff don’t get left out.
So why not pay the region a visit, you’re sure to leave a little part of yourself behind (nuts, bolts, springs ……..transmission), it will be an experience we guarantee you will “lose” yourself in…….
(picture credits and kind permission by my wife..the lady seen in the photos. The photos were taken with a Ricoh SLR using 100asa film hence the reduced picture quality. This road trip was, is and remains one of the worst I have ever undertaken….Cheers Shayne)

Good Job you should run for the minister of tourism.
Would have like to see some shots of the aboriginal communities with the beer can lined sidewalks.
And the brand new landcruisers with the roofs axed off.
