universal openers receiver dip switches
I recently replaced a garage door receiver with a generic universal openers receiver. But... it did not work. There are 8 dip switches inside, and I was able to find various wiring diagrams which also said dip switches in the pdf name, but the dip settings were not there. So on a hunch they'd not been preset to the right brand of remote I googled the markings on the PCB (JJ-JS-SM18-DP) and found this dip switch document. It disagreed with the provided settings for the manufacturer standard I needed, so I took a leap of faith and updated the DIPs and bingo... all working. So.. to help others who have one of these I thought i'd create this off topic thread with the right key words so that people with the auto openers receiver can find the documentation for the DIPs they need.

quite a wide freqency range so begs that i bet their own brand receiver is a specific freqency that the generics dont use.

Its a single pic micro, they dont even have the model number shaved off, so I guess its a software implementation of reverse engineered code chips from every main manufacturer, and the dip switches to select which manufacturer to emulate connected via GPIOs on the pic. JJ seems to refer to jujiang who make the chips, and the pcb. It seems to be quite a good product, at least its been working well for the few days since the last post and the hardware quality looks decent.
