Would this work the same as an NVRAM with a DS1245Y chip fitted? Or is the main function to allow simple re writes without a cook in the UV oven?

its just a straight memcal, same as stock memcal but with socket.

some of the pins on the nvram are different so it wouldn't work without mods

just a note, i have a new batch of pcb's in now, they are double sided for easier soldering, i also have a few hundred of the 27SF010 eeproms if anyone wants some or bulk $3 each atm.

These are a great idea,is it possible to make earlier vn-vs versions?
Id be very interested as its hard to find memcals these days.

it's being worked on, most of it is easy the knock board part is the killer.
