Re: FS: NVRAM ECM Conversion
think of it like a normal computer in every way other than the added functionality of being able to change the tune while you drive.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Yeah it will, there is a jumper to select a ds1230. You lose dual bins though

Re: FS: NVRAM ECM Conversion
hi im bit of a novice at this.. so will this avoid me having to run a vr manual ECM to get the higher 8192baud rate compared to the 160baud my vn ECM currently runs ? i need to be able to do real time tuning to bet better value from my VN V6 Hilux conversion.. i would like to have one setting for normal day to day driving and another for off road ??VL400 wrote:NVRAM ECM Conversion
Application: To suit any ECM from VN to VS (Not VS Ecotec). With a write enabled bin it allows for realtime tuning.
Kit Assembly: Full instructions supplied, basic soldering and kit building skills are required.
Installation Requirements: Solder a single wire to the ECM PCB, remove the original memcal and install the NVRAM board. The NVRAM comes pre-loaded with your choice of bin however an EPROM programmer that is able to program DS1245Y chips is recommended.
Cost: $130 in kit form or $150 assembled (subtract $40 from either price if you would like to supply your own DS1245Y), postage included.
Other Requirements: None, however a communications cable or comms board to allow 8192baud access to the ECM is required if you want to make changes.
Availability: Now
Ordering Information: PM me for more details or if you wish to order

Re: FS: NVRAM ECM Conversion
the nvram conversion is needed to allow realtime tuning, but you also need a serial or usb interface to connect between the laptop and the ecm.
yes you can have dual maps or switch banks on the nvram to have completely different tunes on each section.
