thanks, I have the 16176424 ECM - is the 12 pin port the wrong one? Apologies for asking stupid questions but I trying to get my head around exactly what I have as it appears the ECM has been retro fitted to my 1989 LT1 powered C1500. I am keen on the NVRAM upgrade but I am not sure if it will work as it appears the ALDL interface I require isn't compatible. Any further guidance is appreciated.

cheers

The '424 PCM has 8192 baud ALDL, but may be wired to a 12 pin connector in US vehicles vs. 16 pin in AU vehicles. With two connectors, an adaptor could be made. Gnd = pin 5 = pin A, Data = pin 9 = pin M.
