Got an amateur question here. If I had a VR V8 manual ecu in a VR Commodore (funny enough) and fitted a VL400 real time board. Could I tune with $12P via this interface at high speed?

that's correct, can use the OBD2 port under the dash and tune in realtime using a NVRAM and the right intrerface to connect to the OBD2 port.
