There's more room than the photo shows but the plenum will be sitting higher when finished.

Little bit more on the module mount, it also serves as a map sensor mount.
Given that my plenum is right above it works out good.

And I rasied up the plenum so I have more room under it.

Nice fab work! Is it ideal to have the MAP sensor lower than the plenum?

Atsolutely a bad idea as any liquids will collect in the pipe work and cause major issues. Just think about a bit of condensed oil or fuel residue the consistency of honey sitting in the lowest point in the pipe, acting as a restrictor and causing significant lag in MAP readings. If this will be a forced induction engine then the problems could be as significant as burnt pistons or valves.

The best practice is for the map sensor pipe to have a constant down slope into the manifold so it self drains. Have a look at where the manufacturers locate theirs. I doubt that the engine vibration will be good for reliability or stable readings.

Oops, I never thought of that, mines mounted at 90 to original, was hiding it in engine bay, better make a bracket for it and rotate it, thanks for the tip guys !

All good got plenty of room behind the plenum to mount it on the firewall.

vibrations don't seem to effect them, I have had more than one mounted to the engine with no issues, but I definitely agree about getting the sensor higher than its connection to the motor.

Made up a quick bracket to see how it looks hanging off the firewall, once the bay is painted black and the brackets my guess would be that the clutch master will get all the looks.

Hey mate. How did this mount work out? Did you get a decent weld into the timing cover?
Is the mounting block from a VY diff.
Awesome looking project buddy, well done.
